Sadly we do not currently have much information about Stephen G Harrison, we are still seeking information and will add to this page as we find information to add.
He was the Keeper of Botany at the National Museum of Wales from 1962 to 1984. He took over from Harold Augustus Hyde 63rd President.
In this National Museum of Wales blog entry on Sharing Stories, Sharing Collections it is recorded that "G Harrison had a keen interest in drift seeds, found floating along the tidal range of beaches across the world from Riviera Beach, Florida to Malaysia." His interest in foreign places is well shown in some of his lecture titles to the Society which include: -
- 1964 - A Botanist in British Guiana
- 1976 - A Botanist's Road to Tadzhikistan (Presidential Address)
